Purpose
In 2023, Paterangi School were successful in their application to the Waikato Environmental Education Fund, saying:
The funding we received from the Education Fund allowed us to hire a bus to transport 3 junior classes (70 children) to Pirongia Forest Park for an immersive day of learning. We were incredibly grateful for this support as travelling by bus not only made this trip possible, it made planning for the teachers so much easier, and was an experience all of its own for many of the children.
